Description
The Research Assistant will work with a Principal Investigator on highly technical and complex biological research, including animal histology, microarray analysis, bioinformatics, genotyping, microscopy, molecular and biochemical assays, experimental design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, laboratory equipment maintenance, and hazardous-substance handling. The role also supports grant preparation, literature review, research staff training, budget administration, and laboratory inventory management. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in science or a related field, at least five years of research experience involving data analysis and computer use, and five years of laboratory research and supervisory experience is preferred. The expected pay range is $58,000 to $64,000.
