Description
The Mishra Laboratory at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech in Roanoke, Virginia is hiring a Research Assistant/Research Tech to support cardiovascular and cardiometabolic disease research. The role involves in vitro and in vivo studies, mouse colony management and genotyping, animal experiments and exercise interventions, tissue collection and processing, cell and molecular biology, data analysis, laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, experimental coordination, and manuscript preparation. The position requires hands-on biological or biomedical research experience, basic molecular or cell biology techniques, strong laboratory and communication skills, and the ability to work independently after training. It is a 40-hour-per-week restricted appointment with a budget maximum of $40,000 per year and overtime eligibility.
