Description
The Wistar Institute is hiring a Research Assistant to work in Dr. Guangfeng Zhou’s laboratory within the Center for Advanced Therapeutics. The role supports AI-accelerated virtual screening and computational drug discovery by preparing and curating protein and small-molecule datasets, performing molecular modeling and virtual screening, analyzing computational results, prioritizing compounds for experimental testing, collaborating with computational and experimental researchers, and supporting computational drug-discovery workflows. A bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent education and experience is required; experience in computational chemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics, molecular modeling, or programming is desirable, while Python, Linux, high-performance computing, molecular visualization, and data-analysis experience are advantageous.
