Description
The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Bioengineering is looking for a Research Assistant Professor (Appointment Stream) who will lead a chronic mouse visual cortex platform to study the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying intracortical microstimulation (ICMS) and photoresponsive diamond microelectrodes evoking specific percepts. This role involves designing and executing chronic in vivo and ex vivo experiments, quantifying stimulation parameter effects, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
