The University of Florida is hiring a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure-track Research Assistant Scientist for its Machine Learning and Sensing Lab in Gainesville, Florida. The role supports the lab director’s AI research program, conducts research on algorithms and AI approaches, develops AI tools, mentors students, participates in proposal development, and pursues federal, state, local, and philanthropic funding. Applicants need a PhD in a relevant computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning field; prior research lab management, publication, Python, AI-library, and proposal experience are preferred.
