Description
The University of Connecticut’s Laboratory of Dr. Dan Fabris is hiring a Research Associate or Postdoctoral Research Associate to study RNA post-transcriptional modifications in human cells infected with HIV-1 and hepatitis C. The role involves maintaining gene-knockout cell cultures, performing biochemical and electrophoretic controls, purifying viral and host RNA for mass spectrometry, troubleshooting experiments, and potentially leading undergraduate and graduate research assistants. Postdoctoral Fellows will also design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and write publications. The position is based in Storrs, offers an initial one-year appointment with potential renewal, and is scheduled to start in November 2026.
