Montana State University is hiring one Research Associate for its Pulse Crop Pest and Disease Survey Program at the Eastern Agricultural Research Center. The role coordinates and conducts regional field surveys, identifies pulse-crop pests and diseases, manages survey data, communicates findings to producers and stakeholders, supports applied research and outreach, and operates vehicles and drones. The position requires a master’s degree in plant pathology or a closely related discipline, agricultural field experience, and the ability to travel extensively throughout Montana; a Montana driver’s license and FAA Part 107 certificate may be required. Applications were screened beginning September 17, 2026, and continued until an adequate applicant pool was established.
