Description
The Roskamp Institute is seeking a Neuroscience Ph.D. student for a 4-year translational Alzheimer’s disease research project in Sarasota, Florida. The role investigates how genetic and metabolic factors influence cerebrovascular decline and late-onset Alzheimer’s disease using pharmacologic and genetic interventions, humanized mouse models, 3D humanized cell-based microfluidic Brain-Chip platforms, and a broad range of cellular, immunological, metabolic, behavioral, cerebrovascular, and neuropathological techniques. Applicants need a master’s degree in a scientific field or a bachelor’s degree with demonstrated scientific laboratory experience.
