Description
Empress is hiring a Research Associate II for its Genomics team to operate and maintain an automated high-throughput bulk RNA-seq platform. The role covers RNA extraction, quality control, library preparation, next-generation sequencing, RT-qPCR, mammalian cell culture, sample handoff, and experimental recordkeeping. Candidates need a biology-related bachelor’s or master’s degree, mammalian cell culture experience, and relevant academic or industry experience; RNA extraction, NGS, RT-qPCR, cloning, high-throughput laboratory, and ELN/LIMS experience are preferred. The role pays $35–$45 per hour and is performed by a contractor employed by a third-party staffing company.
