Description
Higharc is hiring a Research Engineer for its Special Projects team to conduct foundational research in spatial AI for residential construction. The role involves developing models for architectural structure and spatial reasoning, LLM training and fine-tuning pipelines, computer vision and multimodal data pipelines, reinforcement learning and RAG systems, construction-domain benchmarks, and research outputs ready for platform integration. Candidates need at least five years of professional software engineering experience, including two years in LLM development, fine-tuning, or applied ML systems, along with experience in model training frameworks, RAG, vector databases, 3D modeling or computational geometry, Python, and React or TypeScript. The position is entirely remote, with travel limited to pre-scheduled team meet-ups, and offers medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time U.S.-based employees.
