Higharc is hiring a Research Engineer for its Special Projects team to conduct foundational research in spatial AI for residential construction. The role involves developing models for spatial reasoning, LLM training and fine-tuning, computer vision, reinforcement learning, RAG, benchmarks, and model evaluation, with outputs delivered as documented artifacts, serving-ready pipelines, and API contracts. Candidates need at least five years of professional software engineering experience, including two years in LLM development, fine-tuning, or applied ML systems, along with experience in model training frameworks, RAG, vector databases, 3D modeling or computational geometry, Python, and React or TypeScript. The position is entirely remote, with travel limited to pre-scheduled team meet-ups, and offers medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time U.S.-based employees.
