Description
The Engineer will support Roche Sequencing Solutions’ next-generation DNA sequencing systems by fabricating, assembling, testing, and optimizing custom devices, fixtures, breadboards, and prototypes. Responsibilities include CNC machining, laser cutting, 3D printing, microfabrication, mesofluidic and microfluidic device fabrication, equipment maintenance, metrology, data collection, and collaboration with scientists and engineers. The role requires 1–5 years of industry experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, engineering fundamentals, independent work, and a proactive scientific mindset; SolidWorks, CAM, electro-mechanical and fluidic systems, and cleanroom experience are preferred.
