Meta is hiring an experienced engineer to define and lead the software orchestration and physical infrastructure for an autonomous, self-driving battery research laboratory. The role involves building connected multi-station automated workcells, developing APIs and data pipelines, integrating commercial and custom hardware, managing third-party automation partners, and translating research scientists' experimental needs into hardware and software specifications. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and at least 8 years of experience designing, scaling, and deploying automated laboratory systems, robotic workcells, or complex industrial testing and characterization hardware.
