ArcelorMittal Global R&D is seeking a Research Engineer for its Metallic Coating Product Development Team within the Metallic Coatings and Surfaces cluster. The role manages projects for cost-effective metallic coating solutions for electric vehicle battery packs, conducts technical surveys of emerging technologies and regulations, collaborates with customers, suppliers, research partners, and internal teams, and leads industrial scale-up, product qualification, process optimization, and global deployment across plants and joint ventures. Candidates need a technical master's degree specializing in materials science, fluency in French and English, data analysis and statistical tools knowledge, technology assessment and benchmarking skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and preferably quality management, problem-solving, electric vehicle market knowledge, and a PhD.
