Distyl is hiring a Research Engineer to build data systems and pipelines that support reliable AI workflows in enterprise and customer environments. The role focuses on data collection, cleaning, transformation, labeling, evaluation, quality frameworks, synthetic data, and feedback loops, while partnering with AI researchers, engineers, and customer stakeholders. Candidates should have experience building data systems for AI, strong Python and SQL skills, and the ability to work with ambiguous enterprise data. The position offers a base salary of $150,000–$250,000, equity, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in the office.
