Mayo Clinic is hiring a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to lead experimental and analytical work in a rare-disease therapeutics program, with an initial focus on POLR2A-related disorders and broader monogenic neurologic conditions. The role involves developing patient-derived and engineered cell models, characterizing variant effects and disease mechanisms, designing RNA-targeted and gene-editing therapies, integrating genomic and clinical data, coordinating translational research, and preparing manuscripts and grants. Candidates need a doctoral degree in a relevant biomedical or life-science field, demonstrated productivity in disease modeling or therapeutic development, and strong wet-lab and analytical skills; experience with iPSC models, therapeutic platforms, rare-disease translation, genomics, or scientific leadership is preferred. Compensation is $67,282–$78,711 per year, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
