Description
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks a full-time Research Instructor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology to work in Dr. Adam C. Straub’s laboratory on endothelial redox biology, vascular remodeling, and cardiovascular disease mechanisms. The role involves mechanistic studies in cultured endothelial cells and mouse models, multi-omics analyses (RNA sequencing, metabolomics, proteomics), quantitative imaging, and targeted gene delivery/rescue strategies, while also providing guidance to postdoctoral fellows and trainees and contributing to grant writing and manuscripts. Applicants should have a PhD in a related field, 5+ years of postdoctoral research experience, a strong publication record, expertise in endothelial/vascular biology and redox signaling, and intermediate to advanced programming/bioinformatics skills.
