Description
The Research Intern will develop the technical and scientific foundations for a configurable digital twin of an industrial conveyor system, simulating the dynamic behavior of up to 100,000 products per hour. The work involves identifying physical interaction parameters, using ROCKY DEM to model conveyors and objects, building virtual systems for one, two, and three conveyors, and applying AI techniques such as deep learning and reinforcement learning. The internship is supervised by CESI LINEACT and SIDEL Strasbourg, may lead to a CIFRE PhD, and starts in September 2026.
