Description
Datadog is hiring a Research Scientist to work with Research Engineers on fundamental research in generative AI and machine learning for observability and autonomous agents. The role focuses on training multimodal foundation models on large-scale telemetry data, building simulated environments and reinforcement learning training loops, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to turn research advances into products. The position requires a PhD or equivalent experience, strong deep learning and distributed training expertise, a publication track record, and familiarity with foundation model training and inference techniques. Bonus experience includes production data pipelines and CUDA/GPU optimization. The role is hybrid, with collaboration across Datadog offices in New York City and Paris.
