Description
The University of Washington’s Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition is hiring a full-time Research Scientist/Engineer 3 to support the Pyle and Bjornstad Laboratories. The role focuses on processing, quality control, analysis, and interpretation of spatial transcriptomics data from human and mouse kidney tissue using 10x Genomics platforms, integrating spatial data with single-cell RNA-seq references, performing statistical and pathway analyses, developing bioinformatics scripts and web tools, and communicating findings through manuscripts and presentations. The position is regular, based at the University of Washington Medicine Diabetes Institute’s South Lake Union campus, and requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus four years of relevant experience.
