Description
SLB is hiring a Research Software Engineer for its STIC Foundations Lab in Sunnyvale, California. The role leads research on data fabric, ontology engineering, knowledge graphs, semantic harmonization, agentic data management, and cloud-native data platforms. The engineer will build proof-of-concept systems, evaluate emerging technologies, advise on adoption, collaborate with AI engineers and external partners, establish thought leadership, and mentor other engineers. The position requires an MS or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent depth, at least 8 years of experience building production-grade data, distributed, or machine-learning systems, and strong communication skills.
