Description
The University of Chicago’s NeuroEpigenomics lab in the Department of Human Genetics is hiring a full-time research technician to support genomics and neuroscience research focused on gene regulatory mechanisms in postnatal brain development and psychiatric disorders such as addiction. The role involves molecular biology and genomics experiments, including single-cell genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics, plus mouse handling, surgery, tissue culture, dissection, lab organization, recordkeeping, literature review, and report/manuscript preparation. A related college degree is required, and experience in molecular biology, genomics, computational analysis, tissue culture, and mouse procedures is preferred. The position is salaried, exempt, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $50,000 to $70,000 and benefits eligibility.
