Additional Information

Minimum Education: PhD in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry or microbiology.
Required Previous Experiences: At least four (4) years of experience in wet-lab experimentation with a deep understanding of different molecular biology tools.
Experience in maintaining cultures of microorganisms (bacteria and viruses).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing mNGS workflow and/or host depletion solutions.
At least one first-author publication stemming from doctoral work.
Strong analytical skills, hypothesis-driven, quantitative frame of mind.
Familiarity with bioinformatics and data analysis tools.
Ability to meticulously design, plan and execute complex experimental designs, analyze large data sets, and interpret results (by way of statistics when applicable).
Capacity to articulate concise reports that convey key findings.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A well-mannered laser-focused individual who values innovation and productization.
Experience in grant writing, grant management and project management.
