Description
Trace is hiring a Research Scientist to work on core problems in robot learning, particularly data quality, data structure, model training and evaluation, and the feedback loop between captured real-world data and physical AI systems. The role reports to the Chief Scientist, involves designing experiments, investigating data effects on model performance, developing evaluation methodology, reviewing relevant literature, and collaborating with engineering and data teams. Candidates should be completing or recently completed a Master's or PhD in robot learning, robotics, or foundation/AI model training; industry experience is not required, but a research background is preferred.
