Description
The Emergency Shelter Duty Officer operates YWCA York’s Emergency Shelter when on duty, providing trauma-informed support, intake, hotline, hospital accompaniment, referrals, client supervision, and shelter operations. The role also includes maintaining the building, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and supplies; participating in meetings and case reviews; and completing required advocate training. It pays $16.00 per hour and requires a high school diploma or equivalency, domestic-violence victim services skills, decision-making ability, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
