Description
HDR is hiring a Resident Engineer to oversee field construction activities for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. The role involves interpreting construction documents, tracking quantities and pay estimates, monitoring materials and testing for contract compliance, managing meetings and closeout documentation, identifying nonconforming work, and supervising junior field staff, inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction technology (or equivalent relevant education and experience), at least five years of progressive construction experience, construction contract and regulatory knowledge, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera or related tools, and strong communication and teamwork skills. A PE license or CCM certification and highway or transportation experience are preferred; without a PE license, the title will be Resident Project Representative.
