Michael Baker International is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead and oversee transportation and infrastructure construction projects throughout Connecticut. The role serves as the on-site lead, manages contractor activities and project compliance, reviews engineering documents, monitors progress and costs, performs inspection oversight, supports estimating and change-order negotiations, and provides engineering leadership. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, Connecticut Professional Engineer licensure or CCM certification, at least 12 years of transportation and infrastructure construction engineering or management experience, and CTDOT CE&I experience including field inspection and supervisory work. Compensation is approximately $175,000 to $220,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
