Description
The Residential Advocate provides direct support and assistance to women and children who are domestic violence survivors in a trauma-informed residential shelter. Responsibilities include resident safety and orientation, admissions and discharges, meal and household support, transportation to appointments, child care, recreational activities, documentation, life-skills support, and overnight safety rounds. The role offers full-time day, evening, and overnight shifts, may include weekends, and requires a high school degree, a valid driver’s license, and two years of mental health or substance abuse experience preferred.
