Description
The Mortgage Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of mortgage underwriting and processing staff across secondary-market, correspondent-investor, and residential portfolio lending. The role manages and trains department managers and underwriting staff, provides lending decisions and guideline-waiver authority, ensures compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations, supports new product rollouts and investor relations, and coordinates with sales, production, quality control, technology, and external vendors. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least five years of mortgage underwriting experience, and at least three years of managerial or supervisory experience in a high-volume mortgage underwriting environment.
