The Respiratory Care Practitioner I provides respiratory care through patient assessment, treatment planning, intervention, education, and evaluation. Responsibilities include oxygen and aerosolized medication delivery, ventilator care, bronchial hygiene, diagnostic testing, arterial blood gas analysis, EKG monitoring, patient and family education, and participation in resuscitation. The role requires a current state respiratory care license, NBRC credentialing, and BLS; a bachelor's degree, RRT, ACLS, PALS, and EPIC training are preferred.
