Description
The Student Respiratory Therapist (Limited Permit Holder-LPH) provides limited respiratory care to patients under the direction of a Respiratory Care Professional. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, enrollment and good standing in a Respiratory Care Program, a Limited Permit issued by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board, and BLS certification. The therapist must perform procedures for which their school has verified initial competency, maintain compliance with Ohio respiratory care laws and applicable standards, and pass hospital competency re-verification during orientation.
