Description
The Cardiopulmonary Tech Assistant provides patient-care support in the Cardiopulmonary Department under the supervision of the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and a licensed therapist. Duties include performing EKGs, cleaning equipment, conducting oxygen rounds, stocking and labeling supplies, filing, computer work, assisting therapists, and retrieving equipment. The role requires a high school diploma, enrollment in an AMA-accredited respiratory care program, and obtaining a limited Ohio respiratory care permit as soon as possible. Patient education, communication, interpersonal, typing, phone, and computer skills are also required.
