Durin is hiring a Responsible Engineer to own software subsystems for autonomous drilling rigs, integrating hardware, controls, compute, networking, storage, monitoring, logging, and edge-computing systems. The role covers the full software lifecycle from requirements and prototyping through development, deployment, monitoring, and field support, with collaboration across El Segundo and South Africa. Candidates need TypeScript, SQL, message brokers, DevOps, cloud and on-prem networking, security, Linux, Git, CI/CD, and industrial or hardware-adjacent experience; the role includes on-call rotations and occasional field response.
