Description
The Rig Hand supports the maintenance and day-to-day operation of a drilling rig by performing general equipment maintenance, loading and off-loading pipe, assisting with rig movement, tripping and cutting pipe, checking safety equipment, responding to emergencies, and assisting with casing, tubing, mud, and sample operations. The role requires knowledge of drill pipe, drill collars, thread types, tubing sizes, derricks, and the drill floor, along with the ability to travel and work a flexible schedule; a high school diploma or GED, CDL, and valid driver's license are preferred or required.
