Description

Hillcrest Home Care is hiring a Hospice Nurse (RN) to provide direct skilled nursing care to hospice patients in private homes and senior living or care communities. The role manages individualized plans of care, symptom management, clinical assessments, documentation, patient and family education, interdisciplinary coordination, and on-call or backup-call responsibilities. Candidates must be licensed RNs in Iowa or a compact state, have at least three years of nursing experience, hold BLS certification, and be able to travel between patient locations.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Required Previous Experiences: At least three years of nursing experience
Previous hospice or home care nursing experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
At least two years of hospice or home care nursing experience
Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Experience with symptom management and end-of-life care
Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and families
