Description
The Circulating Nurse prepares and maintains the sterile operating room, coordinates with anesthesia and surgical teams, verifies patient and surgical-site information, documents procedures, manages specimen handling, and supports patient care before, during, and after surgery. The role requires RN licensure, ACLS and BLS certification, strong sterile and surgical knowledge, communication and critical-thinking skills, and at least 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; BSN and operating-room experience are preferred.
