Description
The Registered Nurse provides coordinated nursing care for individual or assigned groups of patients, follows established standards and the nursing process, and supervises nursing staff. The role coordinates care with other disciplines, develops and implements care plans, evaluates patient outcomes, collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers, supports discharge planning, delegates duties, and provides health information. Required qualifications include RN licensure in the state of practice, CPR or BLS certification, and facility- and department-specific certifications; a BSN and acute-care experience are preferred.
