Description
The Charge Nurse will provide bedside critical-care and PCU nursing leadership across an 82-bed hospital with 48 ICU and 34 PCU beds. The role requires BLS and ACLS certifications, works 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m. shifts, and floats between ICU and PCU units. ICU and PCU patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 respectively, with ICU-level drips, ventilators, telemonitoring, IV support, and 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and hospitalist or intensivist coverage. Weekend and holiday rotation is required, and orientation may last up to one week with an educator.
