Description
The employer is staffing a high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit with 4 operating rooms, 31 rooms, and 31 beds. The role functions as a Baby Nurse during delivery and continues newborn care until transfer to postpartum, including newborn assessment, eye and thigh care, Heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate, and Vitamin K injections. The position requires high-risk experience, BLS and NRP certifications, and may require floating to sister Mother/Baby facilities; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate are preferred. The schedule is posted every six weeks and may require work on alternate weekends and holidays.
