Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Systems Analyst focused on robotic algorithms and controls for the da Vinci Surgical System. The role develops tele-operated motion performance, motion-fidelity algorithms, safety and risk-analysis features, field-data improvements, and manufacturing test fixtures for new surgical instruments. It requires knowledge of servo control, serial-arm robot kinematics, C/C++ and MATLAB, and hardware, software, and mechanism integration, with a minimum PhD or MS in a robotics-related field and three years of robotics experience preferred.
