Meta is hiring a Backend Machine Learning Engineer for its IDC Robotics team to design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain scalable backend systems and machine-learning integrations for physical automation in data centers. The role focuses on high-throughput image, video, and time-series pipelines; fault-tolerant backend architectures; model serving and inference optimization; simulation and synthetic-data environments; API and secure-system integrations; and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree, at least five years of C++ and Python experience, and expertise in backend services, MLOps, AI integration, and complex system architecture.
