Description

Miso Robotics is hiring a Robotics Controls Engineer to design, develop, and improve motion-control systems for its Flippy robotic arm and other automated cooking robots. The role covers kinematics, trajectory planning, PID and impedance control, sensor feedback, real-time software, hardware integration, simulation, testing, calibration, safety, and deployment. It is intended for an early-career engineer and is based onsite in Miso’s Pasadena Robotics lab, with occasional travel required.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering, Control Systems, or a similar field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing robotics or motion-control systems, including robotic arms or other multi-axis mechanisms
Experience with ROS/ROS 2 or comparable robotics middleware
Experience working with robotic hardware and feedback systems
Experience deploying robots in industrial or commercial environments
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with 6+ DOF robotic arms
Advanced AI and ML models applied to robotics and motion control
