TerraFirma is hiring an Embedded Hardware and Software Engineer to own the hardware and software for its construction robots. The role involves designing firmware and low-level code for embedded systems and microcontrollers, developing Linux-based real-time software, performing platform bringup, implementing drivers and sensor integration, and leading testing and calibration. The engineer will also lead interdisciplinary teams, mentor employees, and participate in hiring. The position requires a relevant engineering degree, at least two years of embedded software and firmware experience, and the ability to work extended hours or weekends; relocation to Austin, Texas is required for candidates outside commuting distance.
