Description
AEVEX is seeking an engineering student for an onsite co-op role focused on robotics, autonomous navigation, and sensor fusion. The position involves developing computer vision, SLAM, deep learning, and navigation algorithms; integrating camera, IMU, GNSS, and other sensor data; deploying algorithms on embedded or edge systems; validating software through simulation and flight tests; and collaborating with senior engineers. Candidates need programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Rust, ROS/ROS2 experience, and relevant autonomy, control, sensor-fusion, or embedded-systems experience, with no prior experience required. The role requires current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program and the ability to obtain or maintain a Secret DoD clearance with U.S. citizenship.
