Description

Noble Machines is hiring a Robotics ML Engineer to lead simulation-side sim-to-real development for industrial robot learning. The role owns the end-to-end learning pipeline, including simulation environments, data-generation pipelines, VLA and visuomotor policy training, evaluation, deployment, debugging, and iterative improvement on physical robots. Candidates should have hands-on experience with robot learning, simulation tools, imitation and reinforcement learning, Python, PyTorch, and robotics software, along with a relevant advanced degree or equivalent experience. The position is based in Sunnyvale, California, with a base salary of $170,000 to $400,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: PhD, MS, or equivalent hands-on experience in robotics, machine learning, computer science, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience training or adapting VLA, WAM, language-conditioned manipulation, or other visuomotor policies, with practical understanding of imitation and reinforcement learning
Experience building simulation environments or demonstration-generation pipelines for robot learning using Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, robosuite, or comparable systems
Substantial ownership of a robot-learning pipeline across data, training, evaluation, and hardware deployment, with evidence of diagnosing failures and improving results
Preferred Qualifications: Experience training or adapting VLA policies or world-action models in simulation and evaluating transfer to physical robots
Experience with DAgger, intervention-based data collection, offline and online reinforcement learning, or RL fine-tuning of pretrained robot policies
Experience with bimanual manipulation, mobile manipulation, humanoid task execution, contact-rich tasks, or long-horizon behavior with autonomous recovery
Experience with distributed training, high-throughput simulation and rendering, or inference optimization on embedded and edge GPUs
