GrayMatter Robotics is hiring a Robotics Software Engineer: Government Projects to lead the implementation of innovative robotic manufacturing systems for non-standard and R&D projects. The role combines R&D software feature development with hands-on delivery for proof-of-concept projects, pilot demonstrations, and specialized systems deployed to government facilities. Responsibilities include developing algorithms and architectures for high-degree-of-freedom robotic systems, testing planning, learning, perception, and control techniques, maintaining software features and versioning, and prototyping inspection sensors and processes. The position requires a master’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field, at least two years of industry experience in robotics algorithms, and proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS2. Preferred qualifications include production deployment experience, robotics R&D, sensor experience, 6DOF robot arm experience, and experience with advanced robotics algorithms.
