Description
Methanex is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer for its Nederland, Texas plant to support maintenance, engineering, operations, inspection, process, projects, and contractors in the selection, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and long-term reliability improvement of pumps, steam turbines, compressors, and related systems. The role leads condition monitoring, predictive and preventive maintenance, risk-based reliability strategies, root cause and failure analysis, outage and turnaround repair scopes, capital-project commissioning support, equipment specifications, KPI improvement, vendor technical resolution, and design modifications. It requires a Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s or higher degree, at least seven years of chemical or petrochemical plant-owner experience in a continuous process industry, TWIC eligibility, proficiency with Microsoft Office, System 1 EVO, SAP, and AutoCAD, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and willingness to work in the field with less than 10% travel.
