Description
CFD Research is hiring a Rotorcraft Flight Dynamics Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, improve, validate, and apply flight-dynamics models for Army rotorcraft, including legacy fleets, future vertical-lift aircraft, and unmanned systems. The role uses Gen Hel, FORECAST, and HeliUM to support real-time piloted simulations, flight-control and autonomy algorithm design, and advanced identification of redundant-effectors configurations. The engineer will collaborate with Army engineers, participate in design reviews, and communicate research results. A bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, at least two years of flight-dynamics modeling experience, MATLAB proficiency, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required.
