Description
The Route Driver operates a semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease from customer locations. Responsibilities include inspecting raw materials, loading or pumping grease containers, completing route tickets and vehicle condition reports, maintaining DOT logs, conducting safety inspections, operating the vehicle in accordance with applicable regulations, and providing professional customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a clean motor vehicle record, and either a CDL A with tanker endorsements or a CDL B, depending on the route; prior route experience, teamwork, reliability, commercial vehicle knowledge, truck hydraulics, and basic computer and math skills are preferred.
