Description
The Registered Physical Therapist Assistant supports program participants with evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, education, documentation, and communication with healthcare professionals. The role also includes departmental maintenance, orientation of students and new therapists, and assessment, fabrication, modification, and repair of splints and adaptive equipment. Qualifications include an A.A.S. degree or high school diploma plus a Physical Therapy Specialized Trade Certificate, up to one year of experience, physical ability to assist individuals, and a valid New York State driver’s license.
